Photo Snapshots: Bangkok


How can I describe Bangkok? In some ways, it feels similar to Hong Kong with a slice of Cambodian-flair at the same time.

Bangkok has some pretty upscale malls, delicious street food everywhere, and a decent metro system. But there’s also the Grand Palace, wats (aka temples or shrines), muay thai, and a huge weekend market.

One of my most memorable experiences was eating a bowl of duck noodle soup for $1 in Chinatown. It was literally on the side of the street where dishes were washed in one giant tub of water–with or without soap, I’ll never know.
